Hi Angelique, thanks! I do plan to write a couple of follow up articles explaining the costs, what the money was spent on, what I learned and recommendations. The overall construction cost for the house was around $100k and the various other services around $30k. Cheers

Hi Reg, thanks for your comment. I must admit I didn’t do much research about other blogs similar to this one prior to beginning, other than I knew not many architects share this much detailed information about a project from inception to completion, warts and all, including budget. I wanted to break down some barriers and make it accessible. Over the past couple of years I’ve been contacted by numerous people from all over the country, saying how useful they’ve found the blog – probably because there aren’t many others. Sorry I can’t point you in the right direction but hope you’ve enjoyed following this one. Cheers
